    If your car’s stereo has an auxiliary jack, all you need is a ten dollar auxiliary cable with 3.5mm plugs on both ends. If you don’t have the jack, a cassette adapter is your second best choice but don’t buy a cheap one. Spend the couple extra dollars for a Sony. Since you don’t specify whether you’re looking for a speaker dock or just speakers or if you have a home stereo with auxiliary mode, your best bet is to take your iPod to a Best Buy store. You can play it on their display docks to compare them. They have demo music on their computer speakers and those are much more affordable than docks are. If you’re going to buy speakers, I highly recommend Altec-Lansing. Whenever I check out AltecLansing.com, there’s usually something on sale, like half off or so and their sound quality is the best around short of breaking the bank.
